D Rolark is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist whose method of music is described as “Inspir-tainment” (Inspirational Entertainment). With his styles of Smooth Jazz, Soul/R&B, Contemporary Instrumental, Dance, and Inspirational, he approaches just about every genre with methods of positivity and enlightenment; a key elements that are absent from today’s music.

D Rolark gains inspiration for songs from the elements of life; particularly sunrises and sunsets. Anything that has to do with music, D Rolark makes it his life.

Although primarily known as a keyboardist, D Rolark also plays guitar, bass, vibes, drums, percussion, and flute; all without any music theory.

Music is D Rolark's method of communication. It is what he uses to get in touch with the listener to reach their inner soul and offer positivity in a world mired by negativity. Where words are absent, D Rolark expresses himself through music instrumentally.

D Rolark’s musical performances dates back to college when he played in a hard rock/blues band. In college he was also part of a gospel choir. Currently, D Rolark plays keyboards and is the music director of Da Fellas Band, currently celebrating 20 years of performing. D Rolark’s band opened for Freddie Cole, Koko Taylor, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and played with the rock group Survivor. His band has independently recorded a CD entitled “Spice of Life” and has contributed an inspirational song on a CD compilation entitled “Spiritual Rhythms”. "Lift Me Up" is the song that appears on this compilation co-written by D Rolark and bassist Steve Oliver (not to be confused with the Smooth Jazz guitarist/vocalist of the same name).

"Music is a universal language that is meant to be shared and expresses through all cultures. In life music holds no boundaries; it is an ongoing art that is meant to be continuous and everlasting.  There are many languages spoken around the world.  Of all of these languages, music is the only which everyone fully understands which connects all of us. " ~ D Rolark
